How it started

In April 2021, Suganthan and I co-founded Keyword Insights. It came out of our own internal tooling at Snippet.

We were doing a lot of keyword research. Hundreds of thousands of keywords a month. Spreadsheets were too slow. The available tools clustered crudely, did not handle search intent well, and did not save us enough time to justify their cost.

So we built our own. Then we realised every other SEO and content team had the same problem. So we productised it.

What it does

Keyword Insights clusters thousands of keywords by SERP similarity, identifies search intent at scale, and generates content briefs automatically. The kind of work that used to take weeks of a content team's time now happens in minutes.

It does the boring infrastructure of modern SEO. The kind of work that compounds across an organisation. The kind of work that, when done well, is invisible.

The product has expanded since 2021 to cover the full content workflow. Topic discovery. Cluster planning. Brief generation. Cannibalisation diagnostics. And, increasingly, the structural work that gets content cited inside AI assistants.
